Magazine

Here is my magazine cover, content page, and article. The requirements for this project said we had to use Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign. Some of the photos were edited in Photoshop, I made the table on the last page in Illustrator, and I used Indesign for the layout. I think it turned out nice. I tried to make it look as much like a real magazine as I could. My Professor encouraged us to use a lot of white empty space, it was challenging for me because I kept thinking that the space needed to be filled. After much trial and error I learned that it looks too cluttered when there is no open space. I also had thin text for the cover of the magazine and the article, then I changed the font to this one and bolded it, now it looks much better. This was the hardest and most time consuming project by far. It was interesting to combine all three programs into one project.

Bookcover

This is my bookcover. It was made in Photoshop and the text and labels were created in illustrator. It was a really neat learning experience because I haven't really used these programs before.
The book is about a boy that travels to different planets through a tunnel, called a flume. The flume is located by an old railroad station, so I wanted to illustrate this portal because it is an important part of the book. I took these pictures behind Cafe Sabor, and it was fun to edit and change them into this setting for a book.

Pictograms

These are my pictograms. The topic I picked was: What not to do with your fish. This includes, don't have a cat, don't let it spill, and don't put it in the microwave. As you can imagine, if any of these happened, the results would be traumatic for your fish, and you would end up very sad!
